Although it has gone through more than a century and many events, this mansion still retains its ancient beauty, little affected by terrain and climate. Today, the mansion of the Meo King has become an attractive destination in Ha Giang tours.
The owner of the mansion was a Meo King named Vuong Chinh Duc – who was revered by the H’mong people in Dong Van as the leader of the Huu Nai organization that fought against the Black Flag army in China. In 1890, he invited a Chinese geomancer named Truong Chieu to find a good location to build the mansion.
